The World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons was founded in 2001 by international group of Surgeons and Gynaecologists who felt need of a strong world level organization for Minimal Access Surgery.

WALS represents a worldwide community of surgeons that can bring minimal access surgery, endoscopy and emerging techniques to patients in every country. We represent over 3,000 surgeons, Gynecologist and allied health professionals from all over world.
